More cyberpunk than actual punk, Helsinki-based Jane Distortion evokes images of dark tech-noir and industrial rock à la Nine Inch Nails. Spiritually related to the band Vintage Puppy, which hadn’t been out of place on this compilation, either. The songs have previously been released on self-produced records.

Born out of the living-rooms of Pekka and Henrik, Jane Distortion have never played live. I was absolutely mesmerized by their music the first time I heard it. Unfortunately they never released more than two records, but they are worth checking out if you can find them.
