Catch The Fire

Tuomas: One of the first songs we ever wrote together, a blend of some hammering and NWOBHM-ish feel in the chorus. I think the original idea with Trident was to mix our favorite traditional heavy bands with hardcore.

Matias: This was Aleksi’s track and essentially what laid the foundation to Trident. These were the riffs that we founded the band upon and that’s why it also has a huge part of Trident's soul in my heart.

Aleksi: This is EP’s the most ‘pop’ song let’s say. Originally I came up with the intro + verse and pre/+chorus, and intro was played way slower without power notes like in The Awakening intro. However, you know what happens when you bring that up to Trident’s rehearsal you get a few slaps on your face and the rest is history. I had issues composing a decent C-part, so one day Tuomas brought up the riffs there which were the basis for another gang shouts and the rest of the song.
